VIMS TECHNO CRAFTS Desiccants

VIMS Techno Crafts (VTC) desiccant solutions are designed to actively remove excess moisture from containers and product packaging, ensuring goods remain dry, safe, and protected from moisture-related damage.

During storage and transportation—especially long-distance and sea shipments—fluctuating temperatures can lead to condensation, container rain, and cargo sweat. These conditions often cause corrosion, mold growth, packaging damage, and compromised product quality, making preventive moisture control essential.

We pioneered the introduction of calcium chloride–based, starch-supported in-box desiccants, redefining how moisture protection is applied within packaging. Through advanced engineering and sealing technologies, VTC created a highly efficient moisture-absorbing solution suitable for direct contact with goods.

Compared to traditional desiccants such as silica gel and clay, VTC desiccants deliver significantly enhanced performance during extended transport cycles, even under extreme temperature variations.

With moisture absorption capacity several times their dry weight, VTC desiccants provide long-lasting protection across a wide temperature range—making them ideal for intercontinental shipments and demanding storage environments.

VTC desiccants offer enhanced moisture control performance, outperforming conventional silica gel and clay in preventing corrosion, mold, and moisture-related damage.

VIMS TECHNO CRAFTS Desiccants

VTC Desiccants are formulated using a carefully balanced combination of highly hygroscopic calcium chloride and a specialized binding agent. Calcium chloride efficiently absorbs moisture from the surrounding air, while the binder securely locks in the absorbed moisture. The use of fine calcium chloride powder instead of coarse flakes ensures faster absorption, improved gel formation, and superior performance.

Our advanced desiccant formulation converts absorbed moisture into a stable, leak-free gel, completely eliminating the risk of liquid spillage. This contained gel structure provides safe and reliable moisture control, protecting cargo and packaging from condensation, corrosion, mold, and excess humidity.

To ensure maximum effectiveness and safety, equal importance is given to packaging quality and manufacturing standards. VTC Desiccants are produced in state-of-the-art facilities using high-performance packaging materials that meet strict requirements for sealing strength, vapor transmission rate, and water barrier performance—ensuring consistent protection during storage and transportation.
